Yes, Bare&Sol Durham is in Erwin Mill on 9th Street, just minutes from Duke's main campus. We're popular with students, faculty, staff, and Durham residents across Trinity Park, Forest Hills, and the surrounding neighborhoods.

Sugaring is a natural hair removal method using a paste made from sugar, lemon juice, and water — nothing synthetic. Many of our Durham clients appreciate the clean, minimalist ingredient list, especially those who are health-conscious or have sensitive skin. The technique removes hair in the direction of growth, which results in less breakage, fewer ingrowns, and noticeably less irritation than traditional waxing.

North Carolina's spring and summer humidity can affect how quickly your tan sets. We recommend exfoliating 24 to 48 hours before your appointment, coming in on dry skin with no oils or lotions, and wearing loose, dark clothing after. Give your tan at least 8 uninterrupted hours before sweating heavily, showering, or heading outdoors in humid conditions.

Yes. Our Durham clients love the membership option for maintaining year-round color. A Bare&Sol membership gives you regular access to spray tanning at a consistent monthly rate. It's particularly popular with clients who want to maintain a healthy glow through the winter months when the Triangle's gray skies make natural sun harder to come by.

Yes, Erwin Mill has parking available on-site. The building is easily accessible from 9th Street, and the surrounding area has additional street parking. We recommend allowing a few extra minutes before your first visit to get oriented in the building.

Your membership credit(s) can be used towards our Signature Brazilian/Partial Bikini and/or full body Airbrush Tan OR use credit(s) towards any other services or combine them. Here are few examples of our members’ favorite combos: Signature Brazilian + Half Legs + Inner Thighs combo or Signature Brazilian + Underarm + Legs.

With our unique technique, your hair only needs to be 1/8′′ long (or the length of a grain of rice)! This is different than many other sugaring hair studios, which typically require at least 1/4”.

Individual results may differ, but for most, we recommend regular Brazilian twice per month / every other week for 6 months.

Refrain from shaving or other methods of hair removal about 5 days prior to your treatment. We also recommend avoiding sun tanning & intense exercise prior to your treatment, as this may heat up your skin and cause irritation.

Life happens, we get it. Any unused membership credits rollover for up to 90 days so they can be used later. Also, you can give membership credit for Signture Brazilian or Tan to your BFF, because everyone loves to glow. We allow gifting a service up to twice per year.

We ask that you submit your request in writing to your local studio with a 30-day notice.
