Bare&Sol specializes exclusively in body sugaring and professional spray tanning. Every spray tan is hand-applied by a trained technician using professional airbrush technique, not a machine. Our sugaring formula is all-natural: sugar, lemon juice, and water.

Birmingham's warm summers and mild falls make spray tanning popular nearly year-round. Peak booking times tend to be spring and summer, ahead of outdoor events, weddings, and vacations. In fall, clients book around football season, events at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, and holiday parties. Booking a week or two ahead is wise during those high-demand windows.

We recommend separating the two services by at least 24 hours. Book your sugaring first, then return for your spray tan the following day. This gives your skin time to recover and ensures the sugar paste has fully removed any product or residue that could interfere with an even tan.

Yes — it's one of the most recommended services for clients with sensitive skin. Our sugar paste is made from all-natural ingredients and applied at body temperature, causing far less trauma to the skin than hot wax. It also removes in the direction of hair growth, which significantly reduces the risk of ingrown hairs and irritation.

Your membership credit(s) can be used towards our Signature Brazilian/Partial Bikini and/or full body Airbrush Tan OR use credit(s) towards any other services or combine them. Here are few examples of our members’ favorite combos: Signature Brazilian + Half Legs + Inner Thighs combo or Signature Brazilian + Underarm + Legs.

With our unique technique, your hair only needs to be 1/8′′ long (or the length of a grain of rice)! This is different than many other sugaring hair studios, which typically require at least 1/4”.

Individual results may differ, but for most, we recommend regular Brazilian twice per month / every other week for 6 months.

Refrain from shaving or other methods of hair removal about 5 days prior to your treatment. We also recommend avoiding sun tanning & intense exercise prior to your treatment, as this may heat up your skin and cause irritation.

Life happens, we get it. Any unused membership credits rollover for up to 90 days so they can be used later. Also, you can give membership credit for Signture Brazilian or Tan to your BFF, because everyone loves to glow. We allow gifting a service up to twice per year.

We ask that you submit your request in writing to your local studio with a 30-day notice.
